Orlando, FL (March 4, 2011) - Fidelus Technologies, New York, NY, a leading provider of Cisco Unified Communications & Collaborations solutions, announced today that it will be releasing the Fidelus Console Operator (FCO) solution, April 15th 2011.
Fidelus Console Operator (FCO) is an intuitive Windows desktop application that provides call control functionality similar to that of the Cisco Attendant Console product that has recently been discontinued. The Fidelus solution is designed specifically for Cisco Unified Communications platforms and associates with a Cisco IP Phone. FCO allows operators or receptionists to quickly and easily answer calls and route them to the appropriate destination.
With the release of Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.x, Cisco no longer provides a native operator software console solution. Though Cisco offers similar functionality with other products, they require an investment in additional server resources. FCO functions natively with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and does not require a separate back-end server. In addition, FCO provides call control for calls coming in to a hunt group, a common configuration for main numbers and other sources of high call volume.
