Intuitive Provisioning, Management and Troubleshooting with Remote Phone Control Software from Fidelus

Steve Malone - Thursday, May 24, 2012

The benefits of IP phone systems are no longer in question. Web-enabled telephony solutions are not only more cost-effective, scalable and flexible than traditional PSTN service, they also provide the next-generation unified communication software that companies need to thrive in today's economy.

In fact, the only real concern with IP phones is that, as connected devices, they must be provisioned and controlled by an IT administrator. This can be troublesome for small or disparate organizations that don't have IT personnel onsite at every facility.

Fortunately we recently released version 2.0 of its Remote Phone Control solution, which enables administrators to control and troubleshoot Cisco phones from any remote location.

With our Provisioning Manager Express and Remote Phone Control software, organizations can scale and provision in minutes rather than weeks. Administrators can also offer real-time IT support no matter where they are located, leading to improved end user adoption and overall satisfaction.

New features offered in version 2.0 include a more streamlined and intuitive interface, tools for connecting multiple phones simultaneously and the option to change backgrounds on Cisco phones directly from the application.

The redesigned Remote Phone Control solution is just one component of our comprehensive software suite, which includes the Fidelus Console Operator – a UC application that works in conjunction with your IP phone – and the Provisioning Manager Express, proven to simplify the task of adding user configurations into a simple web-based interface.

Developed as a replacement to the end-of-life Cisco Attendant Console, the Console Operator provides a cost-effective way to turn any Cisco phone into a highly connected multi-line communication system.

The final piece to the software suite is the Fidelus Global Directory, a user-friendly UC app designed to help employees search for, locate and contact colleagues within the company with minimal effort. Each software solution is available as a free trial.
