Unified Communication Manager Assistant

INTRODUCTION

Cisco Unified Communications Manager Assistant supplies job-specific tools to more efficiently manage calls by offering a console software application on office PCs with various soft keys and display panes. Cisco Unified Communications Manager Assistant provides the call-routing and display capabilities required in an active business environment.

For situations where assistants handle five or fewer managers, some of the feature capabilities of the PC-based console application can be extended to the displays on the phone. Assistants can manage calls from their Cisco IP phones, from their PCs or both.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager Assistant can scale up to 10 assistants per manager. A number of 1250 assistants and 1250 managers can be supported per application instance with up to 3 instances per cluster, allowing for a total of 3500 assistants and 3500 managers.

FEATURES

  • Easy administration - Assistants can manipulate calls on their PC interface using keyboard shortcuts, drop-down menus, or drag and drop techniques or assistants can use their Cisco IP phone buttons to invoke features, and the correct call states are reflected on their PC console.
  • Call handling - Assistants can quickly view a manager's status and decide what to do with a call. Assistants have the ability to immediately divert or transfer selected calls to a preconfigured targets, transfer to voice mail, handle calls on the manager's own lines, join two calls, barge into a manager's call or intercom calls. Manager's have the additional ability to intercept and filter calls, and place a do-not-disturb on their phone.
  • Larger display area - Having a larger display area than is available on the Cisco IP Phone makes it easier for assistants to keep track of multiple calls.
  • Directory searches - Display up to 25 directory entries at one time, searches are quick and simple and speed dials can be easily programmed and activated by pointing-and-clicking on the same interface without having to type numbers on the phone keypad.
